Southern Asphalt Engineering CEO Jose Franco Predicts Strong Rebound in Miami Commercial Construction
MIAMI, FL – Jose Franco, CEO of Southern Asphalt Engineering, shared his insights on the recovery of Miami’s commercial construction business and the market post-pandemic during a press release interview on March 25, 2021.
With over 20 years of experience in the asphalt and construction industry, Franco has seen many changes in South Florida’s ecosystem. Now more than ever, Franco says Miami is about to enter into a property and real estate boom. Post-pandemic, Miami has become the prime destination for those fleeing cold climates, high taxes, and cities shut down by the pandemic. In fact, Orbital Insight reported that “South Florida is the no. 4 relocation destination for Americans who have moved during COVID-19”. This influx of population has brought more demand for commercial and residential buildings and construction.
Franco has seen the growth of Miami over the past years, but nothing compares to this trend. He predicts we will see major growth in the Miami market. “The post-pandemic migration started a trend of growth with the construction of new buildings to accommodate the rising population.” This trend will not only be for commercial properties but also new condos, office spaces, and HOA properties appearing throughout South Florida. Franco believes this will be a key factor in Miami’s economic recovery and the rebound of retail areas and shopping destinations.
With that being said, property managers will have a busy year as businesses started during the pandemic look for retail space, and those who went online will start to make their way back to brick-and-mortar stores. Cost for these properties will also rise as demand becomes higher than available properties on Miami’s market. Franco mentioned that ”this will cause a domino effect where major industries in Miami, like real estate, construction, and commercial and municipal asphalt paving, will experience tremendous growth.”
The future of the market looks like it’s on the rise, and with that, Franco hopes to expand his business and acquire clients from new builds like HOA properties to commercial and retail lots. Asphalt paving and concrete services will be necessary for these properties giving Southern Asphalt Engineering the opportunity to expand into new business ventures in 2021.
